Hello and thank you very much for choosing Inout Adserver

1.         Create a new MySQL database using your website management control panel (eg: Cpanel) and assign a new username and password for it.
   

2.         Open the the admin/config.inc.php and edit some important configurations there as described below.

3.         You have to enter your license key in the config file.

            Note
            ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

            The license key you can generate after logging into the members area of inoutscripts.com.
            Please use your email address and the given password to login.

4.         Now, set your admin area username and password here in the config file. You can also change the admin login user and password anytime in future here in admin/config.inc.php.

5.         Now you can enter your MySQL settings in the config.inc.php file as described in it.

            The setting for "localhost" usually doesn't need to be changed but your host may have a different name for their MySQL server.

            The settings for "username", "password" and "database name" usually need to be entered like this in the config.inc file. [If you need assistance most hosts will happily guide you.]

                        yourdomain_username

                        password just as it is

                        yourdomain_databasename

6.          In the config.inc.php file you can see the default language set is "en" which is for English. If you want to change it to any other language, then give your new language
             code here and create a new file messages.<LanguageCode>.inc.php outside the admin directory [eg: messages.en.inc.php] . Then correponding to each English messages in
             the messages.en.inc.php file, please give messages in the new language. Apart from this you'll have to edit the template files also to show the entire website in your language.
             Template management will be described in detail later.

7.         In admin/config.inc.php change the url for $server_dir= to point to the full path of the directory where you have installed the script,

                        eg. $server_dir="http://mydomain.com/"

            [Remember to include the last forward slash.]     

8.         Change the access permission[CHMOD] of the directory ppc-banners to 777

9.         Change the access permission[CHMOD] of the directory admin/ppc-service-ads to 777



10.      Go to the URL http://yourdomain.com/admin/index.php in your browser and login using the username and password you set in the config.inc.php file.
             

            Upon valid license key, mysql details, username and password the script will be automatcally installed first time when you login and will ask you to
            configure some important settings. You may configure it later if you want, but it will not take more than a minute and we recommend you to do that
            along with the installation.

            If you are getting any error message in the install page saying some loading file is missing, please find the required file in the zip file             http://www.inoutscripts.com/downloads/ioncube_loader_files.zip and upload to the 'ioncube' directory.

            From the admin area you will see all the options to manage Adserver related settings and the other config options you have.

            [If you cannot see the options to manage Adserver related settings in admin area, the installation may not be proper.]

            That's it!    
        

            If you installed in public_html advertiser/public will see your Adserver in www.yourdomain.com

Look and Feel Management

1.         You may manage the entire look and feel of the software just changing a few templates. All these templates are can found in the ppc-templates directory.
            You or your designer can modify these templates to look exactly the way you want to see it. You may not find any PHP code there in the templates pages. So
            it will be very easy for you to manage these templates. There are some template variables enclosed in {}. Keep those variables untouched. You may add
            whatever content you want to add to these templates.

2.         I want to just modify the headers
            You may want to change only the header of the page sometimes. The header of all pages can be modified just changing two template files
            ppc-page-header.tpl.html and ppc-admin-page-header.tpl.html. The entire look and feel of the header can be changed to your desired style.

3          I just want to change the logo
            If you want to change only the logo, then just copy your logo in the images/ppc_engine_logo.gif file. The logo of the entire public pages will be changed.
            Most of our clients are just happy with changing the logo and they do not bother about changing the templates as it is already looking neat and good.

4          Changing Engine Name from 'Inout Adserver' to your Engine Name
            Please login to the admin area using the username and password which you have set in the config.inc.php file. Then after logging in, under the configuration
            section you can find the option to change the engine name to your desired engine name in manage basic settings section.

5.         CSS control of all pages is located in ppc-style.css in the root folder where you can make changes to link and font styles.
 

6.         If you want to change the email content of the payment acknowledgement mail to your advertisers, please modify the ppc-payment-mail.tpl file.
